Blissful Hell Week
I haven't done too much knitting this week, but I've made some progress!!!!!
Roza's socks. I'm procrastinating on kitchenering the toe. I have no idea why I do that with every single sock. Maybe I don't want the fun to end.
Clementine Shawlette. It's paunchy in some places. I'm hoping that this gets resolved with blocking.
My Something Chocolate. So far my raglan is looking good!
Have a great 4th of July everyone!!!!

Yo, you're more than welcome to come over if you need some hugs tonight. :)

Or some Frambois.

The knitting looks great and yes, I'm sure the blocking will help with the "pauncy" part.
I have had car insurance nightmares as well and so has my husband. It seems like everyone has to have one once in their life. When will companies realize it's easier and less expensive to keep a customer than to solicit and keep a new one? Idiots.
I'm also sorry about your dad not calling you yet. It sounds like a tricky situation and I sure hope with time, everything improves.

Dude, what is going on? We're doing the twin thing again. Well sorta with the car insurance. In MI, we just couldn't afford GEICO, so I switched to Progressive--GEICO was awesome about cancelling my policy and joked to me about how hard it was getting to live in MI with the economy tanking (this was three years ago mind you!). And the same thing happened with Dr. MS's father. He called him to tell him we were engaged--he was like "That's great, let me tell you about my new kid..." He's remarried to a woman who is younger than 4 of his 5 kids and had a baby with her right before we got married. Needless to say--Dr. MS has NOT talked to his father since that day. We got engaged 9 years and one week ago. OMG--that's another twin thing--we got engaged on 6/26--sounds pretty close to your date! CRAZY!

I'm sorry to hear that about your father and his new wife. :(
The Clementine Shawlette is really pretty. We have very similar taste in patterns. I like all the patterns you knit. Haha! ^_^

First, great countertops!
Second, yes, car insurance is a bitch. I was never able to afford Geico. Their quotes were always way higher than Progressive. I only switched to State Farm because that's what Shane had when we got married. We pay less as a couple now than I did as a single person 5 years ago. Crazy!
Third, at first I thought, "Oh, he's a man. Men don't think to do the nice little things that women do." But, as forgetful as my father is (typical absent-minded professor), he does remember that kind of thing. When his wedding is over, give your dad a call and let him know you're disappointed.
And fourth, Happy 4th!

I hope things start going better for you. Remember it's not what and how things happen to us it is how we react to them.(Do you just want to hit me now?)Have a Good weekend.

Sorry to hear about Geico. They did the same exact crap to me when I updated my policy after moving. I had gotten one ticket and my rate went sky high and they then threw a fit when I wanted to cancel my policy. I have a new cheaper policy now, but Geico still sends me letters about once a month asking me to come back.
I'm also sorry to hear about your father. It is a pretty unexcusable thing to do but it is a week before his own wedding so he might have other things on his mind. But I did go through a similar thing with Rick's father, whom I haven't even met. Poor Rick couldn't even get a hold of him to let him know about the engagement since his father is not allowed to talk his own blood because of his new wife. Hopefully, once your father's wedding is over, he'll give you a call.
