It's even blocked! This sucker is about 6 feet long and 1.5 feet wide!
It took most of yesterday afternoon and night to dry. It's incredibly soft and gorgeous. I'm so in love with it I took pictures of it at 7:45 am! That's why my face is not in these pictures. I'm also in my jammies.
I plan on taking actual FO pictures on our cruise. Woohoo for a different background than my house and yard!

Notes: Also a very good hat, but this one is for those very chilly mornings. Doubled stranded Malabrigo is very warm. I plan on making this hat in another Malabrigo colorway but with Bulky weight. I used the Worsted version because it's what I had on hand.

I haven't had very much time for knitting in the past week. We had an application deployment on Thursday night and on Friday everything went crazy! Databases were missing stuff, servers were inconsistent, I made some boo-boos and it was all very bad.
But it's over now. And it made me appreciate the people that I work for... they rock! The people I work with may be another story altogether.
Another reason I haven't had much time for knitting is because I've gotten into super wedding mode. I'm addicted to Wedding Bee and have gotten a lot of stuff accomplished lately. I'm having a blast with the planning and the pretty stuff. March is going to be even crazier with picking out the men's suits, booking a cake, engagement pictures, and meeting with our coordinators to talk about lots of stuffs. When I have the time, I've mainly been working on my Cozy shawl in Debbie Bliss Pure Silk. Percy sure thinks that it is blissful!
I've used up 5 skeins and it's currently 58 inches.
I've got 1 skein left and I plan on using it all up. I hope to be finished by Friday so that I can block the heck out of it and have it be ready for our cruise a week from this Saturday.
Around 4 pm yesterday I hit my "wall" at work. I was exhausted, I missed Michael (both of us working overtime is no good), I was hungry (no time for grocery store recently), and was tired of the phone ringing. I was sad. So I hugged a cat.
Max hates hugs. And I look evil in that picture. It was taken when my hair was long. Oh well.
Anyways, after the hug I got myself together, ate some nachos, and answered the phone some more. And then, at 8:30 PM Eastern time, it was all over. Well, kind of. Today we're tucking in some lose ends. But everything seems to be a little bit better.
I haven't had much time for knitting lately but I'm hoping to change that this weekend. I need to finish Cozy in time for our trip! Percy's been trying to help by holding the pattern for me but it's still slow going.

But today I felt compelled to pick up the Totally Autumn blanket that I'm making for my future sister-in-law. It's coming along nicely and it'll definitely be finished by the time she's moving into her new home. Blocked it will be about the size of my dining room table.

Early this week I felt compelled to cast on for a new project... Ms Marigold! I received the yarn from Michael for Christmas. This has been really fun so far but we'll see how I feel when I get to the ruffly crocheted sleeves. Currently this vest (too low-cut to be a tank top I think) is in a difficult position to photograph. After casting off for the armholes you are then instructed to knit the left front, back, and right front separately. Here the left front portion is down to the boobs, the back portion is halfway down to the boobs, and the right front portion is still at the neckline.

I'm planning to knit away this weekend! I've got some good Netflix (Legally Blonde, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Life As a House) and a cake tasting to go to this Sunday. Oh, and I plan on doing some shopping as always! Gah!!!! My phone is ringing AGAIN.
While I was sweating it out at this gym this morning in preparation for our next vacation, I thought I'd share some pictures from the previous one with you guys!

We were only in Sedona for 3 days but we loved every second that we spent there. We came in at night (a 90 minute drive from Phoenix) so this was the first view we actually had Sedona when we awoke the next morning.
The Bed & Breakfast that we stayed at (Grace's Secret Garden B&B) was so adorably cute. We were the only ones there and Grace spoiled us rotten! She helped us plan out our stay and she was extremely interesting to talk to. Her and her husband escaped from communist Poland (they were married in a refuge camp!), they told us lots of stories over delicious breakfasts.

We took an off-road Jeep tour that was very rocky but very cool. We also went up to Oak Creek Canyon to see some snow! We're Floridians and ridiculously excited about snow. What was nice was that it was 55 F outside so it wasn't too cold.
